Step Three:

FÊTE!

WHAT TO EXPECT OCT 31

ON THE APPOINTED EVE, IT'S TIME TO FÊTE

The central gathering will of course take place in the main hall of the haunted halls where the party is where you'll find both historical Halloween tunes mixed up to danceable music, and snacks and refreshment (you'll be instructed regarding your included themed mocktails or cocktails the night of the event).

While quaint, both historical photographs pictured here are exemplars of what NOT to do with your costume as we need your face covered. It is a Hallow's Eve masquerade after all! Won't it be neat to go home and have no clue who half the people you attended this haunted historic happening with were, wondering who that person was making eyes with you all night behind their mask?

THE MAIN COURSE

PALM, TAROT, DREAM INTERPRETATION, OR PENDULUM READINGS

When you buy your ticket, you'll select your included reading (palm, Tarot, dream interpretation, or pendulum). When you arrive, you'll want to check the posted schedules to find out when you've been scheduled (don't worry, if you purchase tix to a séance, we'll schedule you around your séance).

Just to be clear, you don't have to have one either; you can let us know when you buy your ticket if you're not interested.

But once you've checked in to find where you are on the schedule(s) for your readings (they'll be posted outside the reading room), you can wander to the main hall to socialize, dance, or refresh; crawl the hood; or wander through the following options at your leisure, reviving our long lost Hallows Eve traditions.

MEET THE READERS

Please wander at your leisure, but be sure to plan to see everything.

The father of psychiatry, psychology, and psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud largely popularized dream interpretation which he believed revealed a dreamer's hidden desires in his 1899 The Interpretation of Dreams. His interest in dreams was nothing new as ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Babylonians, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus believed God or the gods intimated messages to people through dreams and had been preoccupied with interpreting oracular messages through dreams. The Greeks believed in "temple sleep" in which devotees to Greek gods would visit temples and make offerings but sleep in them until they had an oracular or prophetic dream, but so did Babylonians and Egyptians in what they dubbed dream incubation for this purpose. The psychologist Carl Jung further popularized dream interpretation in the 20th Century, believing dreams to be compensatory and one's subconscious mind's attempt to bring under-attended matters to mind.

ECLECTIC MIX OF DANCEABLE MUSIC IN THE MAIN HALL

Throughout the eve, people will centrally congregate in the main hall where we'll have historical Hallow's eve tunes from the baroque and macabre classical music to American folk to big band era tunes from the heyday of Hallow's Eve parties mid-20th Century (1940s-1960s). They can find themed snacks and refreshment, pay for premium themed food items, buy additional beverages beyond those included (please drink responsibly and use a designated driver), and enjoy each other's company when wanting to take a rest from all of the immersion in Hallow's Eve traditions (see the At Your Leisure Menu [click here]).

AT YOUR LEISURE MENU - PARTY BOOTHS

THE MIDNIGHT CLIMAX

When the veil is thinnest, it's the best time of the entire year to make contact with the spirits who wander the earth.

At the midnight hour, when the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest on Hallow's Eve, in silence we will as a whole group enjoy a Dumb Supper (your dumb cake is included) and exit the venue through the front door backwards in silence.

Those who have paid for a MIDNIGHT premium séance will advance to their summoning location with their password for the doorman in silence to await their summoning for admission to the midnight séances.
